The Importance of Corrugated Partitions

There is nothing worse than opening up a box and finding that all of the contents inside are broken or damaged. When boxes are shipped, they will be jostled, dropped and maybe even thrown around. Once a business or individual hands their box over to a shipper, they lose some control over how the package is handled. They can try to find a shipper they trust, but accidents can still happen. It is up to the business or individual that is shipping the product to take steps to protect what is inside of the box before they hand it off to the shipper.

Turn to Partitions

One of the oldest and best ways to protect the contents of a box is through the use of cardboard box partitions. These partitions are designed to keep the smaller items in a box separate and protected. They can prevent an item from moving around and hitting the other items in a box. They are commonly used in the shipping of bottles and other glass jars.

If all of the items in the box are of uniform size, the corrugated partitions can take care of protecting them easily. The partitions will create the space for each individual item and the spaces will all be the same size. The partition will easily be able to fit into a box that has flat sides and a flat top and bottom. It is possible to also have multiple layers using these types of partitions. As long as the cardboard is strong enough to keep the items in the box secure and in place, they will keep the items protected the way that is desired.

Custom Made Partitions

Not everyone has products that are uniform or normal in size. In that case the use of custom cardboard box partitions may be in order. It is possible to have partitions that can be customizable during the packing. Removing or adding extra corrugated partitions can provide bigger or smaller spaces in the box for items of different sizes. They will still be able to provide the protection that is needed for the items that are stored in the box.

The material that is used will also vary for partitions. Stronger partitions can be made out of plastic or corrugated cardboard. Thinner cardboard is a cheaper option that can be very effective. It is up to the individual or business that is shipping the products to make sure they choose the right partitions for their products.
