A Ballot Box is Not Just for Elections

The days of stuffing the ballot box to get a politician elected may have passed. Those boxes have been replaced with electronic machines that are supposed to be more accurate and fair. Just because these boxes are not used for big elections anymore does not mean there is not a place for ballot boxes anymore. They are actually a tool that many businesses can use to promote themselves or products in the store.

A ballot cardboard box still has plenty of uses. They can be placed in businesses to help promote an event. The business can get their customers to fill out a piece of paper that includes their name, address and contact information for a variety of reasons. It may be a contest or the chance to learn about special events. The business can then use the information they get from the papers that have been filled out to build a mailing list of the customers for their business. That will allow them to market their business to the people that have already been in their store. Building repeat business is a key to the success of any business.

There are some keys to making sure that any ballot boxes that are used.

• Placement of the boxes – It is important to make sure that the boxes are placed where people can see them and will stop to use them. Placing them in a location where customers will stop and take the time to find out what they are supposed to do is a good idea. Many businesses will place them near a register where customer will see them. They can also be put in an area where the business wants to show off what they are selling.
• Using Graphics – A ballot cardboard box should include plenty of graphics. The graphics can explain what is being offered for those filling out the paper, but the graphics can also be used to promote the business or a specific product. Bright colors and good graphics will turn the box into a powerful marketing tool.
• Size of the box – It is possible to get free standing boxes or countertop boxes. It will depend on the space a business has and what they are trying to accomplish.

Ballot boxes are not used for elections anymore, but they are still very useful. Businesses that take the time to learn the power of this tool are the ones that will be successful.
